As many of you may have noticed from my instagram, I’ve been reading Gretchen Rubin’s Better Than Before as a way to tackle better habits for myself. This is a result of quitting my job, starting this blog and – I say this with much chagrin – “finding myself” (*projectile vomits*).

One of the general themes I am tackling is being more eco-friendly in my habits. I’ve conquered the plastic water bottle issue (thanks to my memobottle, I’ve not bought one for 2 months. WIN).

In tackling my habits, I’ve realised something rather dire about myself: I am more likely to stick to a habit if I have a pretty object to use in the process.

Now, it’s on to takeaway coffee cups and getting a travel coffee mug – a result of stag consuming ~~a zillion~~ 3 to-go coffees a day. Seriously, how does the man not explode from caffeine?

In doing all of this, I’ve realised something rather dire about myself: I am more likely to stick to a habit if I have a pretty object to use in the process. A hard pill to swallow, as I never thought I was that materialistic. But hey ho, I do run a lifestyle blog about pretty things after all, I may as well embrace it.

As a result, I’ve done my usual scouring the internet to find some stylish travel coffee mugs that also seem of good quality. Many don’t have reviews, but I am using my best judgement here (and some researching elbow grease).

And maybe I was a bit harsh about myself before. If you are going to try and make a habit, you may as well make it enjoyable!
