Wolf & Stag

A Consciously Curated Approach to Style, to Home, and to Life

My Travel Uniform

September 12, 2016

I am nearly positive every post I’ve put up recently has had something to do with travel. You guys probably think I’m off gallivanting the world constantly, leading this glamorous jet-setting life. Trust me, the reality – less gallivanting, more working on the floor in my PJs all day  – is a lot less pretty.

When Stag and I do manage to get out travelling, I tend to stick to a certain ‘travel uniform.’ I pick one similar colour scheme and only pack items that go with it (for this trip, I chose black and white). Not only does this prevent you from overpacking, it’s also a sure-fire way to ensure the things you do pack work all together.  Instant mix-and-match success!

What I’m Wearing

Shirt: Pied a Terre (sold out, but love this classic one from Hobbs here, and a cheaper alternative at ASOS here | Jeans: Forever 21 (old) | Bag: French Connection (in the sale!) | Trainers: Cheap T.K Maxx ones I use just for travelling,  but you can’t beat a pair of Stan Smiths or a cheaper pair of canvas Vans

I’ve already spoken about the wonders of the trench coat when travelling, as a way to keep your outfits chic while still being casual. In addition to this, you’ll pretty much always find me travelling in white button down shirt and a pair of boyfriend jeans. I then often accessorise my outfit with a pair of white trainers (for days of sight seeing) and a cross-body bag in a classic shape.

This cross-body saddle bag from French Connection is perfect for travelling: it’s large enough to fit all my daily accessories AND a camera, and it even has a back pocket a perfect size for maps!

I often stress about what to wear when I go travelling – mostly because I know I’ll be doing some outfit photo shoots! – but with this travel uniform in tow, I always feel put together and yet comfortable. My Travel Uniform | Wolf & Stag
